Anna Sui's lipstick in shade 404 is a classic creamy red. For me, the "wow" factor is the beautiful black carved rose tube that looks like a little work of art sitting on my vanity.
Anna Sui's cosmetic packaging is one of my all time favourites. Every piece is decorative and ornate, shiny and black. Here in Australia the range is becoming harder and harder to find... so thank you to Strawberrynet.com who stocks these products!

Shiseido's Smoothing Lip Pencil in RD 305 Siren is a berry red and glides on like a dream! Unlike a lot of lip liners, this product can easily also be worn alone. I found that this particular red shade doesn't match any of my Shiseido reds, however it does suit a lot of my MAC lippies and was definitely worth adding to my collection!

My mum bought me Besame's Alluring Eye Shadow in Social Brown and Shimmer Beige and they are beautiful. Great packaging and colours - a must for all those vintage lovers out there.

I was quickly lured by YSL's Rouge Volupte packaging and bought four shades. I am a packaging girl through and through and I think this particular product is simply divine. The shade I swatched is 17 Red Muse and is a classic red. Although the lipstick itself is creamy, moisturising and glides well on the lips, I found it messy and tricky to apply. The bullet seems quite big and it is absolutely essential to wear a lip liner. After the first few wears the bullet becomes 'hard to control' and is challenging to apply (check your local YSL counter)! I also found that this lipstick bled. Pros are packaging and the light, fruity scent. I am not sure I would purchase this product again, but given I have four shades to get through I know I'll have this product in my bag for some time!

I never use to wear lip liner. I am not actually sure how I coped, especially given the red lipstick junkie I have become. I am always on the look out for the matching red to go with my "lipstick of the moment". It is surprising how many variations of red there are out there.
Chanel's Precision Lip Liner in 24 Rouge is a classic, bright red. The staying power is intense. I would recommend that you not only draw around the lips, but pencil in the entire lip area. Be mindful that this can be a bit drying so if you want to do this be sure to use something moisturising over the top. I am also quite taken with the sharpener it comes with and would definitely buy his product again.

I am a a bit of a Dior addict (shoes, bags, sunglasses - you name it!) so when I saw the Rouge Dior range I was keen to give it a go. On initial testing, I thought 648 Stage red was a little too coral and maybe a bit to mature, but once settled on my skin, this shade turned a beautiful coral red with metallic sheen. A nice change to my usual red selection.

Dianne Brill, model turned Make Up Queen, produced a range of cosmetics a while back. I was fortunate to pick up a couple of lip lingerie lipsticks. Red Seam is my absolute favourite. It is a creamy, vibrant red - an instant pick me up colour. The highlight for me is the tube - it is covered in a fishnet print complete with back seam - I just love it!

Christian Dior's Diorific Lipstick in 14 Dolce Vita Red is THE bomb. I simply can not find words to describe this product. The colour is one of the most beautiful reds I have come across - it is bright and vibrant with depth. It stays on the lips well and I find that I rarely need to touch up. For lovers of red lipstick, I can not recommend this lipstick enough.
