MAC Lipstick - So Chaud
US vintage lover and author Liz Goldwyn recently revealed on Twitter a few of her current favourite lipsticks. MAC's So Chaud happened to be one that I own. Described as an Intense reddish-orange, this product it is matte and intensely colour rich. On me, I don't see a lot of 'red' but quite a lot of orange! A shade I'm not used to wearing but one I could certainly grow to love ;p

MAC Lipglass Pencil - Red Stroke
I came across MAC's lipglass pencil lip in Red Stroke in a box of make up I'd forgotten about - I bought this product a while back. I'd be inclined to use it as a wash of colour given it's smooth and shiny consistency not as feathering prevention or for longevitiy. Not quite as a expected, but a light and fresh alternative to lipstick.

Kiko: Make Up Milano - Velvet Mat Lipstick - 607 vs MAC's Ruby Woo
This is a colour comparison for one of my readers. Kiko: Make Up Milano - Velvet Mat Lipstick- 607 is more pink than Mac's Ruby Woo. Ruby Woo is thicker and more drying in consistency. Both great colours but certainly different to the eye of a red lipstick lover!

MAC Lip Pencil - Beet

I pretty much have all the MAC red lip liner pencils as there is a good selection of reds and they are a reasonable quality. I use these liners a lot with my 'high end' lipsticks as 'high end' companies usually only have one or two red liners and it's often difficult to match these to their lipstick shades.
MAC's Beet is a dark pink red, much like the colour of beetroot and teams quite well with pink based reds. The consistency is not like my beloved Illamasqua lip pencils (I am becoming more and more addicted!), but is good product nonetheless.

MAC Chromagraphic Pencil - Basic Red

.jpg)

I found this Chromagraphic pencil at MAC's concept store in London. This pro store exclusive pencil / crayon is 'multi use' and can be used anywhere - it is amazing. The consistency is creamy and very easy to blend. I found it incredibly long wearing and if worn on the lips, can be applied alone to create an instant matte lipstick. The colour is a bright tomato red with a slight poppy or orange undertone - I love it!
