Revlon's lipstain + balm is not something I would usually buy... but the thought of colouring in my lips with a big red marker pen really fascinated me! The balm end of the product pretty much broke off immediately so I was fairly disappointed at first. The stain end however, is a bit more heavy duty and applies well. The 'marker end' enables a perfect application and I have found it to be an excellent base for my daily lipstick. It builds brilliantly. Flame is a bright coral red and really brightens my skin.
A couple of draw backs I did find was that the stain is slightly drying and the colour doesn't last a full working day.

I purchased Revlon's Colorburst lipstick in 090 True Red on a recent shopping trip to Boots. It was only 6 pounds!
Revlon make some amazing lipstick shades and this is no exception.
This lovely pink based red, can be worn as a wash of colour or layered for a more intense look.
The printed Revlon logo on the lipstick bullet is similar to Chanel's Rouge Coco range. Nice product at a very reasonable price.

A while back I was at my local chemist and discovered the Revlon Matte Lipstick range. It was the 1940s inspired advertisement that had caught my eye. I noticed that there were three beautiful red shades that I could not leave behind.
Initially I was not sure about 005 - Strawberry Suede because it looked quite pink. I tried some on and within a few seconds it turned a bright coral red so was sold instantly. My favourite shade is 006 - Really Red, which is a classic 1940's red - I just love it!
Despite being Matte, the consistency is surprisingly lightweight and creamy. It does not cake and it stays in place well. I found all three red colours to be opaque and highly pigmented with no obvious fragrance. For those vintage inspired girls out there - very worth adding to your collection.
